This is a BETA Test version for version 3.6 of PCBDaily.
One reported bug in 3.5, turns out in the rewrite, I duplicated some
variables and over wrote them. The bug would only effect the use of
newuser, upload, downloads for selection criteria in the config file.
Why BETA? Ver 12.0 has not been released yet. It has been tested for
10.0 through 11.8a. File formats may change for 12.0, if not then this
program should run fine, with the 12.0 format. The latest info on 12.0
indicates that there will be an index for the users file. Until more
info is available on that, I don't recommend using the available sort
in PCB Daily. Other than that it will work.....
Whats new?
Don't forget to add another line to your config file.
Corrected the Sort routine bug and added to the sort for security levels
a secondary sort by name. If using the sort by security level, you will
also now find that your users are in alph order also...
Added the ability now for you to change the user from an expert to novice
for those who use different menus for different security levels. The change
will only occur if the security level of the user has changed.
Have been doing a major rewrite of the code, and am almost completed with
it. This version is faster by far.
Only users that have their security level changed will be updated now instead
everyone each time.
Code code size has been reduced with the rewriting...
New in ver 3.5 over 3.4
Rewrite has been completed. Saved another couple of k in size.
Changed the sort routine, the old one took 1.5 hours on an xt to sort a user
file of 1000. Shouldnt take more that 3 minutes now. Corrected a bug, that
would occur when writing the sort back to disk after 950 or so users...
Corrected a bug that has existed since day one, where you could lose a user
like one in a thousand. No one reported that one.......
Added an indication that the sort is working.
